Launch EC2 AWS free tier and play with it a bit. Like run a web server or whatever on it.

It would be necessary for DevOps/Automation specialist, but not so needed for Cloud Engineer.

OP should rather look into Terraform, CloudFormation, Lambdas and they could be Node.js, Java, etc., not only Python.
