Social Media overflowing with bots

Anonymous:Recently stumbled on this channel and thought his videos were interesting.
This dude started deep diving on social media bots and he keeps kinda blowing his mind with what he finds.
And it seems like there's more coming down the pipe on this topic.
"Unlimited Bots" - He starts looking at what a mindboggling number of bots are guiding trends and discussion on twitter.

"The Blue Wave Propaganda Bot Network" - He stumbles on a fucking massive DNC bot network.
Also mentions the other huge bot networks they've observed fall into two other categories: Porn and Crypto

"AI Craze" - Mostly a talk about the current state of AI but later on starts touching on the combination of AI and bots.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1i6iTVeOYg
"The Company Destroying Hollywood" - Mostly about how entertainment is being led around by dumb metrics but goes on to touch on how easily bot traffic can manipulate these metrics.

Sure, but your life is influenced by all the normies who fall for bot shit.

It's pointless to worry about things you have no control over.

Apathy is for faggots.

Lol, WTF you replied to yourself.

Normies always defined the society. You can't change them. Smart people only should figure out how to minimize normie influence.

čudan is social media.
It's far simpler than youtube, twitter etc. but it is just as much as a social media as Usenet & IRC.

Forums and social networks are different in several ways. Even if you replicated all the features (following people to get notified when the post things etc) the center of gravity in a social network is the profile and the timeline. In a forum, the center of gravity is the discussion thread and channel.
Forums
Divided into topics. Each topic has discussion threads. Users have “threaded discussions” by replying to each other. The primary source of traffic is search. The objective is discussion.
Social Networks
Divided into people. Each person has a timeline. User can comment on posts. These comments can become like forums but they are incidental and not treated like the source of truth for a given topic.

Isn't this a way of minimizing influence? Giving full confirmation that many of them are bots so that you have even more reason not to take them seriously?

To some degree, yes. But real minimization in this case is quitting social media.
