Anonymous:Some Eastern teachers explain that there are better and worse forms of
suicide, ranging from the noble kind (to save lives, etc, which is very
rare) to the most selfish kind (I'm just depressed so let's quit).
They warn that suicide for selfish reasons is worse than noneffective
for the soul is still bound to the Earth (often for hundreds of years)
until it can work out the sanskaras (impressions) that were to be
expended in life. This is where "ghosts" come from. The point of
life, they say, is to grow beyond the physical and the low desires,
and this is why suffering exists along with pleasure -- as a reminder.
Think about it.

This famous restaurant is also over 20 years old and was established by a couple that shifted out of the music and fashion industry as they shared a strong passion for cooking nasi lemak. Anonymous:A well-planned Sydney weekend can be a lot of things. Balmy nights in the city streets, hopping from sexy bar to fine diner. Burnt-orange sunrises over expanses of ocean, sandy wanderings, smoothies and slow arvos by the sea. Or suburban wine bars, rooftop bakeries, local brewery beer gardens and ferries across the harbour. We live in a slick city with a sun-licked glow – a place we’re very lucky to call home.
While we’re spoilt for choice, some of the best spots are (even just a little) hidden. Down side streets, in industrial areas, cosied up to car washes. These are the hard-to-find gems we’re loving right now.
Down an unassuming city alleyway is teeny Japanese joint Parami. The team dishes out plump paper-wrapped onigiri – kombu and ume or salted salmon – and vibrant just-whisked matcha (which is, just quietly, some of the best in the city). If you’re on a Euro bent, try Koket. The swish Swedish cafe, where golden, cream-stuffed cardamom buns join cinnamon-laced twists and salted pretzels, is out the back of a Paddington homewares store.

If the sun’s out, make moves to Wylie’s Baths. Its blue-and-yellow-striped doorway is hidden along Coogee’s bushy coastal track. A sun-bleached deck surrounds the salty ocean pool, and staircases take you to the water’s edge. Plus, the canteen has $8 old-school salad rolls and standout coffee.
A steaming bowl of creamy tonkotsu and mandarin sake await at Darlinghurst’s tiny Chaco Ramen. Nearby Love, Tilly Devine pushes snacky fried olives and sardine sangas alongside natural Aussie drops from up-and-coming winemakers. For slurp-able dishes of cheung fun (rice noodle rolls) doused in Shenzhen-style soy, head to Taste of Canton, the diner hidden in a sliver of a space next to a car wash in Zetland.
While most people have a definitive list of faves in the Marrickville brewery scene, you’re in for guaranteed happy sipping at Wildflower, Kicks and Hawke’s (where yum cha trolleys roam monthly). Head to Ester Spirits, a working backstreet distillery with a snazzy bar and tight cocktail list heroing the award-winning spirits made in-house.
Less hole-in-the-wall and more bar-in-a-bar is La Prima. The candlelit 10-person mezcal bar is hidden behind a trick door in El Primo Sanchez, the party-ready Mexican joint on Oxford Street. Stop in, ask to enter the smoky den, and expect to feel like you’re in Oaxaca.

Thoughts: Today's breakfast is at USJ10's "富興點心 Foo Hing Dim Sum", officially the only branch of Foo Hing other than the HQ, which has been serving Dim Sum since 2009 in 蒲種公主城 Puchong Bandar Puteri. This almost 3 years old popular Dim Sum destination here for USJ folks is at the corner shop lot of the previously "True Fitness" Fitness Center; the Puchong famous Dim Sum started the USJ branch in December 2020 and has been really popular and still crowded at peak hours (especially the weekends). According to its website, 富興點心 Foo Hing Dim Sum insist on 手工點心 handmade Dim Sum and traditional recipes and maintaining the original taste. Netizens also high recommended Foo Hing's hand-made 燒賣 Siew Mai, 蝦餃 Har Gao (shrimp dumplings), 鳳爪 Foong Zao (chicken feet), to the well-known companion gift “富興葡塔 Foo Hing Portuguese Tart”, 葡塔 Portuguese tart is said to be one of the must-orders for customers.
Dim Sum is a rm$9 "香港油菜 Poached Hong Kong Seasonal Vegetables". "油菜 You Chai (or Yao Choi in Cantonese), is a method of cooking vegetables in Hong Kong restaurants. It is commonly found in 酒樓 Restaurants, 茶餐廳 Tea (Dim Sum) restaurants, 大排檔 food stalls and 麵檔 noodle stalls; very common dish and popular to 香港人 Hong Kong people of all ages and available just about anywhere in Hong Kong. The preparation method is to 蔬菜與少量食 blanch vegetables and a small amount of cooking oil in 放進開水中一同焯熟 boiling water together, then add 蠔油 oyster sauce. The function of adding cooking oil is to make the vegetables green in color. Because cooking vegetables in this way is considered to be 高膳食纖維 high in dietary fiber and 少食油 less oily, many people on diets use it as the main dish for their meals. The main ingredients used in cooking Hong Kong-style rapeseed are generally called 時菜 Seasonal Vegetables (depending on weather and supply), and normally refers to 菜心 Choy Sum, 生菜 Lettuce, 芥蘭 (Kailan), 通菜 (Tung Choi) and 娃娃菜 Baby Cabbage (Choi Tam), and usually 菜心 Choy Sum, and 芥蘭 Kale (Kailan) are the most popular. Today, 富興 Foo Hing offers 芥蘭 Kai Lan as the seasonal vegetable for this dish. The nearby competitor 錦選點心 Jing Xuan Dim Sum (also in USJ10) don't have this dish in their Dim Sum menu; however, you should be able to find it at USJ21's 鴻鳳點心 Hoong Foong Dim Sum.
The second dish is a rm$16 "魚翅灌湯餃 Superior Dumpling Soup", the price is equivalent to 2 Dim Sum Plates/Baskets! "灌湯餃 Soup Dumplings" is a common Dim Sum in 廣東 Guangdong, 香港 Hong Kong and 澳門 Macau. In the past, 灌湯餃 Soup Dumplings were made in 一籠有兩隻餃 a basket with two dumplings, 用蒸籠蒸成 steamed in a steamer, and the 容易在提起時破皮 skin would easily break when lifted. Now most 灌湯餃 Soup Dumplings in Teahouses are 用湯浸餃 soaked in soup with only 一籠一隻餃 one large dumpling. The 高湯 superior stocks in the dumpling is a 食材凝固成的半固體 semi-solid solidified by 上湯煮豬皮 boiling pig skin in superior soup, 菜 vegetables, 鷄腳 chicken feet and other ingredients resulting in 含大量膠原 containing a lot of collagen in the soup. It is wrapped in the 餡子 stuffing, and when heated, the semi-solids turns into soup and is sealed in the dumpling. Today's "魚翅灌湯餃 Superior Dumpling Soup" comes with 魚翅 "imitation shark fin" (as real shark fin are already illegal since 2007 in Malaysia) and 元貝 dried scallops. Historically, 灌湯餃 Soup dumplings first appeared in the 明朝 Ming Dynasty.
Another dish worth sampling is "蟹粉灌湯餃 Crab Meat Superior Dumpling Soup" with the same price at rm$16.
