I don't have all the answers nor I'm particularly smart but I do know your life has value so don't let yourself be ruled by hate, rise above it and try to live a life you're proud of

I disagree, OP.

Boards are not evil, they simply reflect what human beings really are. They are very honest, even if you don't like the truth.

Anonymous BBS are the source of genuine criticism that teached me to be honest with myself and actually start doing what I want to do instead of doing what society expects me to do.

Of course, boards are often compared to high-school toilet walls. But if someone wrote that Jessica is a slut, she could appear to be a slut, you know.
